The client brief was to have a large modern extension to a heritage listed clinker brick home. The addition was to be hidden from the streetscape and the original features of the home were to be preserved, whilst integrating the new with the old.

The extension consisted of three bedrooms, living, dining and a four-car garage which opens to the backyard and doubles as an entertaining area. The accomplishment of the striking contrast between old and new is evident when viewing from the private backyard.
